Daytona Beach Bike Week

There are two annual Bike Weeks in Daytona Beach. In the Spring it is time for the granddaddy of them all, the Daytona Bike Week. The younger event, Biketoberfest takes place in the Aall. Daytona Beach Bike Week is held every March. Thousands of bikers from all over the US attend this big party. The 10 days of live music, motorcycle races, beer, and parties bring thousands of visitors to the Daytona area. The event started in 1937 on a 3.2 miles course. Bike Week has grown to become one of the most recognized events of its kind in the world.

Biketoberfest may not have the long history of Daytona Bike week but the popularity is increasing among bikers. This annual event was the creation of the Daytona Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau. The first Biketoberfest took place in 1991. The party is normally scheduled for the weekend after Columbus Day. This allows for many attendees to arrive on Columbus Day weekend and start the party early till Biketoberfest arrives. One of the most popular events is the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail. This is a 12 miles ride around one of the most beautiful routes in Florida.
