Our last visit took place during the Christmas holidays. The Main Street District in Downtown Fernandina Beach was tastefully decorated. The ornately decorated homes along with antique shops and restaurants create a true Christmas wonderland. Many businesses sponsor giant Santa chairs in the Downtown area. As much as we love Christmas in St Augustine the Amelia Island celebration has become our favorite as well. The beautiful decorations and Christmas lights create the best atmosphere for the romantics at heart.
