Explore an incredible display of tropical plants, trees, and flowers free of charge 7 days a week. There is no admission fee to enjoy the garden but a small donation is appreciated. Botanical Gardens is managed by Friends of the Port St Lucie Botanical Garden. As a non-profit organization, its work is only supported by donations. Most of the daily operations tasks are conducted by volunteers. The gift shop at Botanical Gardens is well worth the visit. There is a beautiful lake with a fountain and pavilion. The public can book a special event or wedding in the open garden area.
Botanical Gardens is the sanctuary to thousands of tropical plants and mature trees. The Botanical Gardens is comprised of ten different gardens. These gardens showcase a different type of tropical vegetation. They include Bromeliad Island Garden, Rose Garden, Butterfly Garden, Hibiscus Garden, Palm Walk Garden, Orchid Room, Palm Walk Garden, Secret Garden, Cactus and Succulent Garden, along with the Native Plant & Florida Friendly Garden.

Visitors need to allocate at least one day to truly explore and enjoy what Oxbow Eco-Center has to offer. The entire area is dedicated as a learning facility to educate the public about preserving the regional natural inhabitants. Oxbow Center is located on the north fork of St Lucie River covering over 225 acres. The center is also known for its incredible hiking trails. A guided tour through these trails is a great way to enjoy the biodiversity of Oxbow Eco-Center. The April celebration of Earth Day is the must-see event of the year. The festival activities include live music, educational booths, and close encounter with live animals.
