Beaches in Vero Beach, FL 

Vero Beach is home to some of the most beautiful beaches on the coastal Atlantic Ocean. In addition, the beaches of the municipality of Sebastian are also available for the enjoyment of the locals and visitors. These two cities are literally attached and create the metropolitan Vero/Sebastian. Please note, most of the beaches in the area are designated as protected areas. Beaches are the home for nesting loggerhead, green, and other sea turtle species. Nesting season is from March 1st to October 1st. Subsequently, the visitors are asked to avoid digging holes or leaving trash on the beach. This may interfere with sea turtles’ ability to nest and successfully hatch their eggs.

Ambersand Beach Park, Vero Beach 

An ideal beach setting if you are looking for a quiet beach with a serene surrounding. Ambersand Beach Park is part of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge. The park is considered one of the most significant natural habitats for protected turtle populations. Ambersand Parks is considered to be most consequential in preserving green turtles nesting habitat in North America. Furthermore, the area is also designated as the most significant for nesting of the protected loggerhead turtles in the Western Hemisphere. Golden Sands Park, Vero Beach

Golden Sounds Park is the start of the 248 acres Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge stretches over 20.5 miles. This park also has a nesting area for the protected loggerhead turtles. Visitors should note that disturbing loggerhead and green turtle nests are against federal and state laws. The park offer amenities including restroom and shower facilities, playground, ADA beach access, and picnic pavilions. The lifeguards are on duty from 9:00 to 5:00. The park is named in honor of one of the area’s pioneers, Waldo Sexton. Sexton arrived on Treasure Coast in 1917 selling agricultural equipment. He purchased 120 acres parcel of land and was the most influential person in the development of Vero Beach in the 1930s. Sexton Park Beach is located between two of the most popular oceanfront restaurants in the area, Ocean Grill and Mulligan’s Beach House. The beach is also a part of Beachside Shopping District one of the most frequented shopping and dining destinations for locals and visitors alike. The beach is the favorite surfing spot for many locals. Snorkelers can enjoy the magnificent corals 100 ft from the shore. Turtle Trail Beach Beach Access Vero Beach

Turtle Trail Beach Access Is located 1.25 north of County Road 510. The beach does not offer many amenities or lifeguards but it is a perfect place if you like peace and quiet. Seagrape Trail Beach is located at 8102 North A1A Vero Beach, FL 32963
