Visiting The Beaches In Vero Beach Is Relaxing

Visiting the beaches is one of the best things to do in Vero Beach. This town has a variety of unique beaches with different amenities and views. Some beaches are touristy while other beaches have more natural surroundings.

The barrier island in Vero Beach is the home to some of the most unique beaches in the State of Florida. The less crowded and undisturbed beaches is one of the best places to enjoy nature. Some of the more popular beaches may become a bit more congested. However, that is mainly based on what crowded means for the area. For example, you cannot compare the crowd in any of these beaches to the jam-packed beaches of Miami Beach. 1- Round Island Parks in Vero Beach, FL

Round Island Parks consists of 2 separate parks, the Round Island Riverside Park and Round Island Oceanside Park, or the Round Island Beach Park. The park is equipped with restrooms, BBQ grills, a playground, and picnic pavilions. The Round Island Riverside Park, on the other hand, offers the best views of the majestic Indian River Lagoon. Furthermore, the observation tower is the best place to enjoy nature, watch manatees, and occasionally dolphins swim by. There are ample amenities such as a boat ramp and restroom facilities. Round Island Parks are located immediately north of the St Lucie County border and 6 miles south of 17th Street Bridge.

2- South Beach Park in Vero Beach, FL

Frequented by locals and visitors South Beach is one of the most popular public beaches in Vero Beach. Although South Beach is monitored by lifeguards we recommend checking their availability during the off season. Some of the convenient amenities offered at South Beach include picnic pavilions, ADA accessible, free parking, restrooms, and shower facilities.

3- Humiston Beach Park in Vero Beach, FL

Humiston Beach Park is one of the most unique and popular destinations for locals and visitors in Vero Beach, FL. The combination of an impeccably maintained park and a pristine beach is magical. Additionally, shopping and dining opportunities are contributing factors to the popularity of Humiston Beach. There are many things to do in Vero Beach including events held at the Park and shopping area year round. A free evening concert sponsored by Ocean Drive Business Association. The concerts are offered on the first Saturday of each month. This event takes place from March through December. Don’t forget about the farmer’s market which has been attracting the locals every Saturday.  The farmers’ market activities are from morning to noon in  Humiston Park.

4- Jaycee Park in Vero Beach, FL

Known for its vast stretch of sandy beach and extended boardwalk, Jaycee Park in Vero Beach has it all. There are many things to do in Vero Beach including spending the entire day enjoying amenities like swimming with a lifeguard is on duty. Other amenities include a beach volleyball court, children’s playground, and picnic pavilions equipped with grills. Strolling on the boardwalk alongside the Atlantic Ocean is a healthy habit complimented with a great view. Jaycee Park Boardwalk stretches 1,965 feet. If you like to track your walking distance,  4 lengths of the boardwalk is a little less than 1.5 miles.
